Hello Readers,
It’s been an incredible week; unbelievable even. For those keeping up with my partner’s recovery, she had to go to the ER Sunday morning. Her chest wound began to weep and redden, meaning that it’s become infected. They prescribed her an antibiotic, but the pain was getting worse, and they were glad that she came in as early as she did.
The plan is to do exploratory surgery today. In all honesty, it’s better that she’s there, and every person we talk to about it all say the same thing, “I can’t believe they released her that early!”
I just talked with our friend who works at Safeway, and she was talking about how her son’s knee surgery had him in the hospital for almost a month. It should be at least that long for open heart surgery.
There’s still some high priority items on her recovery wishlist, and I also haven’t replaced my Leatherman yet. Maybe I’ll get a gift from my wishlist for Christmas this year.
