Hello Readers,
Sometimes, making images with AI takes you on an unexpected journey. I’ve really taken a liking to it for using it to make memes when I can’t find a good image for when the joke comes first.
To be honest, this is one of the weirdest journeys I’ve been on trying to get what I want from the generator, which can be tricky.
I mostly prefer to use NightCafe Studio, and if you consider joining, please use my referral link.
These first two images came pretty close to what I wanted. I started by using the Imagen model from Google which is new to NightCafe. It claims to have good prompt adherence, though results have been varied as you will see.
This one by far made the most look-alike version of Pepé Le Pew, but the vomit is coming out of his hands? The prompt at first was simply: Pepé Le Pew puking.
I was even more shocked by the next one, although I like its interpretation of the character.
Next up, I tried a different model called, Flux, which is also new and supposedly has strict prompt adherence.
I mean, what even is that? I’m still laughing at it. It’s almost not safe for work….[[|:-D
I decided to try that model again, but this time it had an even bigger surprise.
“What the entire f*ck?” I asked. The prompt is still the same at this point, but this is so radically different. It kind of reminds me of Dot from Animaniacs.
With that result, I decided to go back to Imagen where I had at least had good likenesses.
That face! [[|:-D He looks like the Grinch and his tail reminds me of toothpaste, specifically Aim.
At this point I decided to change the verb to, ‘vomiting’. I’ve gotten good results from doing that before. I feel like, sometimes the generator gets hung up on certain words. However, I was not prepared for what it had to offer by doing that this time.
I almost cried I was laughing so hard at this one, and it just gets better.
I thought, “Okay, it can’t give me something like that again.” Oh, but, that’s not how the universe works as it doesn’t understand negatives.
I bet you were like, “Okay, there’s no way it could get anymore interesting.” Am I right? Well, we were both very, very wrong. I love the details in this image, though. Like the random junk in the hole in the wall, and the fact that the frog has a second mouth. So weird.
However, if you think that’s it, hold on to your hats. After a second frog, I decided to go back to Flux, and below is the new surprise it had for me.
I laughed so hard at this one, I realized that I had to pee. It’s pretty cute, but still not what I wanted. So, I finally decided on another model called, Ideogram, which was one of the first to claim prompt adherence. This one costs six credits to use, and typically does what you ask, although, not… this… time.
I don’t even know what to say about this one. What is he even vomiting? It’s egnarts it’s so strange.
At this point, I was thinking that I would just have to go with Grinch Face, but I thought that I would try just one more time. This time I went with the fast version of Imagen, and I got a good enough result to make the meme finally.
And, yes, I am also known as the PNW Memist. I tried to make it its own thing at one time and I just kept going with it.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed this journey. Certainly feels like one, doesn’t it?
Thank you so much for reading. Please consider recommending my substack. I hope you imagine having a wonderful day….[[|:-)
