Hello Readers,
Jokes aside, it’s imperative that I put this out there. Even though sales come easily to me, there’s no harm in getting more word out there, because there is no out there, out there.
Technically, my very first published work is, The Complete Thief’s Netbook. A module that I wrote around 1998 when I was living on my own for the first time. It’s a module for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, and it was good enough to get archived on Archive.org!
Now on to the serious works.
The Creation of Xyphus
The Supernova of Dega is the first book of this sci-fi saga that explains the back history of a setting in my work-in-progress tabletop role-playing game.
Imagine a clone of our world, but further into the future where we are in the early stages of space exploration with faster-than-light travel. Terra has a United Space Force, and Lieutenant Major Brandon Xyphus has landed himself in the brig a second time. After the supernova of the nearby star, Dega (Vega in real life), which mysteriously doesn't annihilate the solar system, he is given a rare third chance at his career as a pilot. The supernova altered the course of the solar system, and he is tasked by an elite autonomous group to pilot them to go and destroy the asteroid that the sun is now headed toward.
Along the way, he meets Dr. Tobias Pherringer who has a time-traveling plan to save humanity, which he claims is doomed to fail in the near future, whether or not this mission succeeds. He explains that Brandon and seven others are to survive and, with some technological aid, are destined to repopulate Terra in the future. Only, Terra has dramatically changed, becoming the scifi-fantasy setting for my tabletop role-playing game full of the classic fantasy races, magic, and much more. The setting in which Cloak & Laser is being written.
You can go and read the first three chapters that I posted last week.
I recently published it on my Gumroad shop where all of my products are 25% off for my first twenty-five sales if you use the promo code: PRIMETIME.
Forces of Nature
The Chosen One is the introductory novella of a fantasy series based in the classic but unique fantasy setting in my WIP TTRPG.
A middle-aged drifter finds an ancient sword with a very famous soul trapped inside, and this leads to an epic save-the-world adventure full of magic, mayhem, and a new class of dragons.
Jhevvon lives a simple life, drifting across the continent of Errtetia, doing odd jobs here and there. That is, until one day, he discovers a sword that will not only change his life forever, but all the lives that exist upon Errtet. A grand adventure the likes of which this world has never seen.
Forces of Nature is set in a classic but unique, medieval fantasy setting. A world that might seem familiar until you read into it. This series will not only tell you a great story, but it will also explain about the history of the setting of Argonis.
There’s no sample chapter, but it’s only $2.99, and like I mentioned before, it’s 25% off with the promo code: PRIMETIME.
CivRisk
I posted about this book last week, so I won’t go into too much depth. However, it’s a module of alternative rules for the classci board game, Risk, so that it plays out a bit more like the PC game, Civilization.
I haven’t ported this one over to Gumroad yet, but it’s on several of the Books2Read markets for just $2.99!
The Complete Book of Callsigns
I don’t talk about being a gamer very often, but I do play a few. One of my all-time favorites is X-COM 2 and its DLC. I’m really good at brainstorming, and so I put together a comprehensive list of all the cool names I could think of to use as callsigns for your game characters.
Like with CivRisk, I plan to make a second edition, where there will be more names, plus some examples of why that name came about.
This one is on Gumroad for just $2.99! Use the promo code, “PRIMETIME” to get 25% off.
Thank you so much for reading. Please consider recommending my substack. I hope you imagine having a wonderful day....[[|:-)
